Saturday April 13th in Villa Cesi, near Nonantola, the 63rd edition of the Ragno d'Oro award ceremony was held, an event in collaboration with Unicef aimed to reward Modena citizens that distinguished themselves in their sectors and that kept up the good name of Modena in Italy and in the world.
Among the four winners there was also Pikkart, that received the awards thanks to the augmented reality and artificial intelligence technologies that it developed over the years, like Pikkart-AR SDK - the first Italian augmented reality proprietary software -, Pikkart-AR Logo - a one-of-a-kind patented technology that allows to link up to a billion different pieces of content to as many copies of the same image - and Pikkart-AR Discover, a software that applies augmented reality to objects and environments.
Pikkart founder and CEO Lorenzo Canali accepted the award: he thanked the other two founding members Davide Baltieri and Giovanni Zuffolini, the sales manager Stefano Agnoletti, and he especially thanked his family for constant the support they've given him through the years.
Among the other winners: Aut Aut's Erika Coppelli and Il Tortellante for the "Volunteering" category, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia's professor Rita Cucchiara for the "Scientific research" category, and Caffè Molinari's Giuseppe Molinari for the "Industry" category.
