Web Marketing Festival 2018, Augmented Reality for Tourism and Museums

The 6th edition of the Web Marketing Festival, held at the Palacongressi in Rimini on June 21st, 22th and 23th, has ended. An event that last year welcomed over 12 thousand visitors and that is considered one of the most complete and stimulating events in the digital innovation field for its transversal nature.

We were there with a booth and "Augmented reality potential for tourism and museum-focused marketing", a workshop that showed how Augmented Reality can be applied to the culture, tourism, and museum industries to give lesser known areas a push and "augment" points of interest, exhibition rooms, and even gadgets. The workshop was held in the Augmented and Virtual Reality room from 8:50 am on Friday, June 22nd and it was filled with case studies and bits of advice on designing an app for this particular field.

At our stand visitors could find demos about our exclusive technologies, such as Pikkart-AR Logo, a software that allows to link up to a billion augmented reality content to as many copies of the same image, or Pikkart-AR Discover, a technology that makes it possible to recognise objects and places and link them to augmented reality content.
