September 2015: Pikkart wins two awards at the Fiware Business Challenge

On September 15-16, 2015 at Villa Guastavillani, the prestigious and enchanting location of the Bologna Business School, some of Pikkart’s team members attended the Fiware Business Challenge, an event that fits in the broader scope of the Digital Agenda of Region Emilia-Romagna, with the goal of introducing the standard FIWARE to SMEs and Start-ups in the region. FIWARE is an open-source platform and a standard of development promoted by the European Union for the development of intelligent solutions.
Pikkart has been awarded twice by the Commission for having distinguished itself for its contribution, having presented Weary, one of the best concepts of "Mobile AR Apps" in terms of originality and affordability.
Pikkart developed its original idea of App using Augmented Reality, a technology that allows you to overlay digital elements to observed reality; Geo-location, handy to find points of interest around you; and Proximity Marketing to profile consumer purchasing behaviour.
